Damp
A damp towel is already a petri dish.
Left overnight, it can host millions of bacteria — including E. coli.
Compromised
Your skin barrier pays the price.
Bacteria, fungi, and irritants drive inflammation, breakouts, and weakened skin.

Common Questions
Dermatologists recommend a fresh face towel every single use. A damp towel reused within 24 hours can carry millions of bacteria, including the same strains linked to acne and skin irritation. If reuse is unavoidable, hang to fully dry between uses and never share.
Yes — for hygiene, the answer is unambiguous. A single-use disposable towel removes the variable of bacterial buildup entirely. Washcloths, even when laundered, can re-contaminate from the wash cycle, ambient air, and storage.
Not all are. Prospela's are made from biodegradable, commercially compostable plant-based fiber — they break down in industrial composting. They're not plastic, not microplastic-shedding, and not laundered (so no detergent runoff or wash-water energy cost). They're a different environmental tradeoff than reusable cotton, not a worse one.
It can absolutely contribute. Acne-prone skin is more vulnerable to bacterial colonization, and the friction + bacteria combination from a contaminated towel is a known irritation trigger. A clean towel won't cure acne, but a dirty one demonstrably makes it harder to resolve.
Paper towels are too abrasive for facial skin and lint heavily. Prospela's are a brushed plant weave — soft enough for the under-eye area, lint-free, and built to hold weight wet or dry without tearing.
Yes. The formula is hypoallergenic — no dyes, fragrances, or harsh chemicals — and dermatologist-reviewed for daily use on sensitive skin types.
